Posted: Sat Jan 14, 2006 6:05 am Post subject: Xbox Flashes On 3 Times and flashes (Videos inside)
I had this xbox modded by a friend, but he hasnt bene online in a few days cause of a hard work schedule. I really need to find out what the problem is
In the first video, I hit the power button, then you can see what happened, then as you can see, my hand come in again, I hit the power button again, in which it wouldnt turn off. Then, the last time my hand comes in, I hit the eject button and nothing happens again. Through the whole time, there is no av output. I know the av cord is plugged in correctly though.
In the second video, instead of hitting the power button first, I hit the eject button to try and boot the xenium os. Basically the same thing happens, but instead of the power button flashing white, it starts to flash the error color, normally green and orange, which is why I brought the camera closer.
Note: The sound is on, but I didnt say much, if you want to hear the hdd and how it sounds, turn your speakers up and u can hear
What the heck is the problem and what do I do? I even took the usb out, cause I thought that may have caused a problem as my bro slipped it out a bit last night, but I continued to play halo 2 after that, so I really dont think tahst the problem, not at all.
Thanx 4 help in advance. Im willing to answer any questions I can to the bets of my ability to help you analyze the problem.
I honestly think it has something to do with the xenium ice chip, but I dont know...
BTW, my xbox is a 1.0, xenium ice installed, has what I believe to be a pinheader install eventhough I told the guy I wanted it soldered....

Please note I did not mod it, a friend did, so I dont know much of the super-tech stuff, but a little more than the average person knows...

by the looks of the led it could be a solder splash some where on the board but its hard to tell if thats a blue led flashing with orange which I assume its green. I could be wrong in my diagnosis some one might correct me LOL. _________________

Normally it would be green, I ahd my main led modded to be white, so yes, I guess you can say it is green.
What exactly is a solder splash and what can I do to fix it?
