I was hoping I could get a little advice. I am getting the famous "Dirty Disk" error. Here is the twist. I have two XBOXs. Both are Ver. 1.0. One is SOFTMODDED and the other is not. I can swap the drive to the other XBOX and it works just fine. Anyways, I have tried swapping IDE cables, cleaning the lens and mirror, took both drives apart, used compressed air......NADA! until I got tired of taking the XBOX apart. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

By the way.....
I get the error nomatter what I put in the dive. I will not play any games or dvd's.

All the drives are Thompson. It si a softmod with the latest Slayer install CD. No matter what type of disk I use, I get the same error. But, only in THAT xbox. It is not the drive. It must be the motherboard or somthing. ANYONE heard of this AND a fix???

not sure. what xbox is giving the error? the softmodded one? and by the way the "latest slayers" is really really old

its not an error code, its a dirty or damaged disk error
