First of all i just wanted to say that I have only been a VIP member for a few weeks now, and i havent even downloaded anything from the ftp site yet (which has everything anyone could ever need for xbox modding) I just wanted to throw out this post in appreciation for this site, this is by far the best website that i have ever become a member to. everyone has been extremely helpful, in the VIP section all your questions are answered and everyone just seems really cool and down to earth, I especially wanted to thank *Forahobby* and *RealMmccloy* they have been extremely helpful and prompt about answering all my questions, and soon I will subscribe myself as a lifetime member, if you are thinking of joining this site as a VIP DO IT!!! you will not regret it, the site is amazing, not to mention well put together!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Lunchboxx, thanks for the kind words...I was in the same boat as you were in the middle of April. I had just ordered my premod and knew nothing about xbox modding except that I wanted in on the action. I went to a few sites and was mulling around and read so many negative posts (i.e. Read the fucking manual) that I was too intimidated to ask a question. I happened across a top 100 site and at the time this site was third or fourth and I went on. I never turned back. I can count on three fingers the amount of times I have been on a different forum than this one. And, that was only to help another member here as I could not locate the fix so I searched out the net.
I have learned a lot since the middle of April. But, there is still so much more to go. Luckily I have two things on my side. Desire, and time! The best thing this site has going for it is the members. Everyone is down to earth just like you said. Sure, we get a few idiots every once in awhile, but every family has their blacksheep/lamer!

Yes, i mean, it seemed incredibly intimidating at first for the 10 dollars, (because i have never signed up for a website before just for online content) but now i see how totally worth it, it was ... i reccommend everyone to this site, and hopefully my knoledge of modding will increase and i will be able to help other newbs

Lunchboxx42,
That's basically like an unwritten law for this site I guess. You come here and get helped out with your problems, learn some stuff, then pass on your knowledge to others that need it.
The reason why this site has become so popular is becuase all members (both senior memors and n00bs) aren't afraid to post and help out other members. It won't surprise me if it's not long until you are able to help out with questions yourself, even if you have an opinion or a slight idea on something, don't be afraid to say it.
Anyways, I'm glad to you are finding the value in the VIP Section, as a lot of members including myself really try to make it as fresh and up-to-date as possible...
Cheers!!

hey guys,
once again what can i say..?!?!?
My plan was to make this site as friendly as humanly possible. Its worked!
I too had problems RealMccloy when i was a newbie was back in 2002.
I went to placed which i wont mention (xs) and got flamed and abused.
I do web design for a living and decided immediately to gather information and downloads for xbox-hq.com which i registered on the same day. It took me around 9 months to get the site actually looking how it does now and hrs of uploading on my 56k connection.!
All i can say guys is your money is spent wisely when you sign up on our hosting costs and domain costs.. We are currently using 160gb of bandwidth per month and have 3.2gb of Downloads..
My plan is to pay in advance as much as possible so if any does ever happen to me the other admins will be able to run the site forever..
anyway, i hope you all like the hard work i put into the site with custom scritps like:
VIP Members, Webgames +hiscores, VIP Support, Direct Connect, Xbox Tutorials, Xbox Cheats +much more most dont see..
I LUV seeing all the work and content you guys are adding and makes me thank god that i created this site.. It has to be close to no#1 xbox website on the net..

i forgot to mention:
v1 of the site was written in .ASP using snitzforums.. I helped code heaps of custom modules for the http://www.serverhacker.com release of the SITE PORTAL..
The hosting was in Australia at that stage and costing around $500 per month AUD.. I lost my job and was out of work so a friend offered me cheap php hosting.. I converted all the downloads and forum posts over to the new phpnuke site we are using now..
Once again i started customising the code and when its complete i will totally rewrite the website to be stand alone!
I am already working on a .exe file for our ADMIN's desktops.. They will be able to control the site from that.
Another idea im having is a private chat .exe script similar to hotmail but only for our xboxhq user.. They must be a registed user to use the client..
once again, im rambling so ill finsih here..
The v1 site (serverhacker portal) was build in may 2002,
the v2 site (phpnuke forahobby custom) was build on may 2003.

Lunchboxx42,
All I can say is that I agree 100%. Like you I started with the $10.00 sub to see if I liked it and if there was any support> I also have had great support with quick answers to anything that I have asked. I will also be upgradeing to lifetime sub. Very much worth the subscription at any price.
