Hi guys,
Had a mate of mine come over tonight who i havent seen in years.. Funny that he came around actually as i was just thinking about him only the other day..
He mentioned the reason why he wanted to come around was because of the old days when djb and myself used to be musicians.. He said he went hunting for some of my old musik that i wrote on the c64 for games and intros way back in 1990-1993.. (way back lol)
After speaking with him i thought i might just start a off topic post aobuot the c64 and a few other details about it.. I Never owned a pc until around January 1997 (for my birthday, it was 486 dx66) lol.. But since i got my pc i never used the c64 again.. Arent you glad.. HQ wouldnt be here otherwise and neither would the Auto Installer Deluxe because i had to twiest DJB's arm so bad every day to get him on a PC and then the same to the xbox.. He nearly bough a PS@ (cant even mention it.. olol)
I thought id share with you all some of my old projects where myself and djb used to compete worldwide for writing music and drawing logos, fotns etc for use in Australian and other demos for the computer.
We also wrote music for a game with one of our closest mates at that stage name 'bombsquad.d64' You can see DJB's name and my own in the credit s for that game for music.. We sold that game to a huge German C64 magazine who produced it for us. We were only like 14-16..
Now im going to add some attachments here of music that i just found in mp3 format (how convient..)..
This tune is a sorta cover from the movie Fletch or Fletch Lives.. Some of you may know it.. Ive done all sorts of covers.. Axel F from beverly hills cop and more..
Its funny to actually sit down and think what made djb and myself get into this type of thing.. We were actually in Australia's no#1 c64 scene group for over 3 years and earned lots of respect..
DJB and myself and the other members of our old AUstralian Group named 'TDU - The Digital Underground' even had the pleasure of becoming one of the first digitised photos on the c64 in our australia released wordwide demo when we changed our name from TDU to THE CURE..
anyway, enough rambling on.,. Most of you would probably not know much aobut the scene in the old days.. Just hoping some of you may and might come out of the wood work a bit more.
I used to trade with the largest cracking and demo groups in the world and rank 23 out of over 20,000 worldwide traders and musicians.. I think DJB cracked the #1 postition for musician since he spent alot more time on the c64..
anyway, leave your comments about my old c64 tunes.

You da man.I used to love the c64 even though i never had one.My mates house was round the corner from the last stop on my paper round and i used to go round after and play shadow of the beast etc,etc for hours. His mum would make me dinner and when id finally go home id get an arse kicking off my mum saying she thought id been kidnapped and was just about to phone the police .Ahh life was easy with not a care in the world.
I later got bought an amiga 500 and then he was never away from my house.lol _________________ V1.4
