Okay, it seems that we are getting so many requests for lockable HD lists...and since there are literally hundreds of HD's on the market and nobody wants to look through old posts for info, maybe this sticky will serve a purpose
This is a database that other modders have added their info into. If they purchased a HD and was able to successfully lock it, the info has been input. The info includes Make, Model, Speed, Buffer, Xbox Version, and what program was used to do the locking.
I highly suggest that if you have a HD that isn't in this database, please enter your information. It's the only way to keep the database up to date.
Thanks

Hey,
Maybe i should add our own database to the xboxhq website mate??
Do you think that would be a good idea.. Then our membes could add whether a HDD is working or not and comment..
Ill check out that website and see exactly how much is involved but think that would be a great addition to the website personally..

Yes, that would be a great little resource for the members. I'll post everytime I do a mod. I even have some models that I got that werent lockable that I can add
I firmly believe in keeping members in house, I typically don't link to outside sites, but we just dont' have anything like that right now. That's why I go to great lengths to take photos and stuff when people ask a question about something. I would rather them see it here than elsewhere

I agree...
Ok after looking at the site it looks like a couple of days work probably a week.. It would be a excellent resource and people would find the info much easier since our website is ranked highly in google..
Our members could submit or comment too so im sure it will get used..
I have so many other ideas i just wish i had the time to implement them on the site..
anyway, ill add a new project tot he Projects MODULE.. So you can all keep track of how im going with it.
Phew. Finally... I've been to that site several times now, and I can't seem to figure it out. No matter what I enter into the search criteria (even if it's just the brand name, I can't get anything to come up. "No search results found" is all I ever get.
If we had our own database, I could finally figure out what HDD I want to get... And then start hunting for the cheapest price for that drive.

Sweet Module guys, that's going to be a really nice tools for all the users here to double check so they don't screw up and purchase a drive that won't lock. This site continues to impress me....haha. _________________ XBOX v1.6c
