I have succesfully installed and played Halo 2 on my Western Digital 160 GB HD on numerous ocassions. THe problem is that after a while it starts freezing on the HALO 2 screen the one where you press start and then the profile loading screens comes up. I'm currently running a softmod LTools 1.75 using evox and mxm (dualboot). Once it freezes there is no way of making it work again. I've tried erasing the game from the hd and ripoing it again and still can't make it work. AFter it freezes it won't even let me play from the original dvd. Every time this happens I have had to take out the hd format it and install everything again. PLEASE HELP! This is very irritating and frustrating. _________________ 2 Xbox V 1.0
Ltools 1.8 installed
160 gb hard disc (yes you can install one without a modchip)
I stopped being myself because I want to be what I was.

#1) format and use ltools v1.8rc1 (the fixed a buttload of errors)
#2) don't use dual boot! (it tends to crap up as such, stick to Evox or MxM! Just because it supports it doesn't mean you should use it ;p )
#3) Is your drive a recent HDD? As in 2MB Cache or 8MB cache? 5400 RPM? 7200RPM? I do recall something about, certain hdd's giving different issues with different games.
So check those out!
And last resort : BUG Sjohn! ;p He's the softmod god!
Sincerely,

I don't know if have tried this already, but in E there is a folder called Cache. Delete all the contents in this folder. This happens to me from time to time and this always remedies the situation here.

I agree with the guest, e:\cache seems to give me tons of trouble on a lot of games, it will just freeze while loading the game. Anyone with xbox programming knowledge want to make a simple program that is basically a batch file that says "del e:\cache\*.*" Also it wouldn't hurt to delete the contents of the drives x, y, and z these are just cache drives also. _________________
