Hey HQ!
How is it going?

Got two tiny questions:

Is it a good idea to transfer the emulators/the roms you have on the console (modded with autobuilder so have bunch of games) from the E to the F/G drive? So one has more space the the rest on E (~1GB)?

And my other question is, just in general: Do you delete roms you don't need or just pick a autoinstaller disc copy all of them and then just add those you need to your favourites-list?

Haven't been around for a while; gonna continue writing some reviews!
Thanks everyone and have a good time! Smile

^^ Razz
a 1, i can't see why not but you'd be better off copying the emu directory as a whole from E:/ to F:/ or G:/..
should be safe to do, you may need to reconfigure it all over again as the overall paths/settings will have ultimately changed as a result of the relocation!
a 2, adding roms to your favorites is a lot easier but what you genuinely don't play on can rob space, not much but it all counts..
using UNLX filehandler, go into the roms directory itself and press "X" on each of the roms you highlight to mark them up as a multi selection then press "black" (or white) summon a submenu and select delete from there...
play around with the UNLX filehandler, study it's readme docs that came with the archive!
you can delete one or more items in one move using UNLX, pretty versatile as a dash...Razz
[edit]
almost forgot, you can use the multi select to copy as well so do that with the roms from the SPPV emu installers if you wish, select "copy" from the submenu but you'll need the target plane/directory visible at one side of the UNLX filehandler screen...so you can target your selected roms for copy...Smile

Cool, thx for the quick answer!
Gonna give each game a try for a few minutes each (gonna write a letter once I'm finished fighting to through this software-jungle ^^) and then I'll use the UX filehandler (like it too, used it several times) to delete the roms not necessary.

To my first question: Do you think the E->F/G transfer is even (not to sound to harsh:) "worth the risk" if there is any?
Don't wanna screw something up with this paths you were talking about.

^^ what? (why ask now and not then?)
all depends?
there's NO danger in copying it at all...
you'll just be setting it up as new again..
point of interest!
i wouldn't advise a course of action that was dangerous and NOT mention it at the time...
it maybe easier to copy/INSTALL what you want from an emu installer?!
but no, there's NO danger from using an older moved install...
two things....it works after a reconfig or not at all...but NEVER dangerous unless otherwise stated!

You can move em no issue. Just copy, then delete the original and reboot. Then simply change the ROM path and Xtras path(if you are using Xtras) when you use the emu.

When I used SPPV's autobuilder v5.1 on my 320GB WD HDD, after it built my hdd from the ground up, I immediately moved the WHOLE "emulator" folder from my E drive to the F drive. Since E partition is not very big.

Then I put backups of xbox games through dvd2xbox on my G drive.

My preference is to have emulator folder on F and xbox games on G drive. or vice versa. Don't know if either have room for both xbox games and emulators.
