I have been keeping an eye on the Xbox 1 site for the past few months and have noticed a dramatic drop in activity, haven't you?? Well, the Xbox 1's hay day is over, sure its great for homebrew and to muck about modding it with XBMC etc etc, but we need HD!
I still have my Xbox 1, and plan on always having one as long as i can, they are the best for homebrew stuff like emus and a portable game system, movie player too.
anyway, are there any newbies still around?? We will still help out best we can, so browse around the site first and then ask your questions in the forums.
Upgrading to Xbox 360???

I'm always around, just mainly posting on xbmc4xbox.org/forum because as you said, it is becoming less active. I think a few more users should go on regularily and just post as much as possible.

I've noticed it too and it makes me sad
I remember when I joined in 2007 I would come home from school and spend at least 30 minutes looking at and responding to all of the new threads that popped up from when I last checked the site. Hell, I remember in the summer of 2007 checking the site 4-6 times a day because there were so many questions popping up on the board. Now we are lucky to get one reply to a thread a day, let alone a new thread everyday
This is still my favorite site on the HQ network but time does sadly keep going. This site will see less and less use as the original Xbox becomes less and less prominent. I still personally have 3 modded Xboxes (a X3, a HyperX and a TSOP) and I don't plan to sell them. _________________

Good for you. I have two Xboxes, one X3, the other X2.6 CE. I mainly use the X3 as the other one is a work in progress.
How come BBCode doesn't work in sigs? _________________

So you need help with a softmod eh? lol.. no problem i know just the guy.
Good my niece is gone to live with her grandparents which has given me my freedom back. Done loads of new UnleashX skins, wrote a new WMV-XMV converter so you can use WMV9. I know I said I wouldnt but I made a new Autobuilder. Rewrote the EXEs, now you have a choice between 13 different builds. And been working on my UnleashX.40. Pretty much have the games via USB licked, and am now working on recoding the update feature to connect to a different server to auto download skins and updates. Oh and I did a new NKPatcher, hitting a wall on signing the saves, but its used in Autobuilder V3 since theres no signing req with it. Im in a new project called Revive Retro compilling complete ROM sets and best emus, for all systems, Im covering XBOX and PC. Go figure
I can upload up to 5.4GB files which makes it perfect for my HDM installers

Hey! I'm here! (waves arms)
Been running an Ver 1.0 Xbox with an Xecuter 3 mod chip and having a blast! I agree, I sure would like HD but I'm having a hoot playing Halo, Batman Begins, Crimson Skies and Mercenaries. I'm looking to upgrade my hard drive to something bigger than the 300GB I've got now. I want more games and I want to put my whole video library on it so I just have to sit down and pick what movie I want to watch!
I still think the Xbox1 with mods is DaBomb and I don't think I'll be going to the 360 anytime soon. I've also got a PS2 system that I've softmodded just in case I get tired of the Xbox!

You got that right! Hey, I get spoiled watching HD or playing a buddies 360 hooked up to a great plasma display but, for an all around entertainment system you still can't beat a modded original Xbox! XBMC and a big hard drive with all your games and movies that you can watch, stop and automatically start playing where you left off, Navi-X for streaming content, emulators for Nintendo, Atari and any other gaming platform, I mean the modded Xbox 1 has it all!
Plus the thrill of cracking that case open and making it do things that MS never intended it to do!

Hi quads! Like your avatar
I think that once people see what can be done with a modded Xbox, they are impressed even if it isn't in HD. There are also people who didn't know/care about modding Xbox's that are just finding out about them so, I guess I'm not surprized that you are doing a number of mods for people.
Glad to see that there is still some interest out there!
