Hey guys,
My xbox has been locking up when I start it up. Sometimes Xbmc will actually load, but about half a minute later, it completely freezes. On the rare occasion that it decides not to freeze, it locks up whenever i try to play a backup or emulator.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What revision of XBMC do you have and what BIOS are you using?

My cousin modded the box for me some time ago, so I don't really know. Is there any way I could find out?

Should the latest AID work for that? Or is there a different cd I should get?

I think we now have a XBMC AI but yes AID will also work fine for that _________________

Well, looks like I managed to get Error 16. I'll try the boot cd if I can fix it.
Thanks for the advice, though.

Finally managed to get the FTP back up. I grabbed the xbmc.log and found this:
20:06:16 M: 41009152 ERROR: WEATHER: Unable to get data: Invalid License Key.
I've read that the weather app has changed recently for xbmc, which is probably the cause of this problem.
Is there any way to remove the weather app, or prevent it from starting when xbmc boots?
You think you could give me some instruction on how to transfer it to the xbox?
The readme isn't allowing me access. I'm assuming I would just ftp the XBMC folder to the same folder on the xbox, but that might be difficult seeing as the media center freezes at random times.
EDIT:
I got the readme file open, and I know what I have to do, but I'm unsure how it will work since the ftp server crashes along with xbmc, so i'm afraid the connection will drop mid-transfer, leaving me with half an XBMC. Any thoughts?

You could use something like Unleashx or Avalaunch (a stable one so it won't crash randomly) or a boot disc like AID or HeXEn if you have heard of it.

Yeah I have the latest AID, but don't I have to format a drive first in order to install a new dashboard?
