Rename the flasher folder to 000000000000 (thats 12 zeros)
then place that inside a folder named 4541000d
then FTP folder 4541000d to your E/ partitions UDATA folder
The EvoX ini file is set up to find the bioses in that location ..... sorry, slipped my mind that bit. _________________

Thanks again user1
I think I have now flashed the tsop ok. It did its thing, then shut down after quoting a successful flash (or words to that effect).
Now I get a blank screen after the green xbox symbol with executer 2 underneath it.
I can boot my aid 4.2 disc and then use file manager to start XBMC, so I am hoping there is a simple fix for this or should I rebuild my hdd with HDmaker.
I had to previously get eeprom info of this box with an eeprom reader then I used HD maker to build a stock retail Hdd. Then I soft modded it. So I have a CD ready to rebuild it if I have to but I hope there is a easier way.
Any advise will help. I wan't to make sure this box works OK before I put a large hdd in.
Ok, the flash seems to have been successful seeing as you now get the xecuter2 logo after the flubber.
when you softmodded your xbox your default dashboard (XBMC) is on the E/; partition, you have flashed the bios and it now expects to find a dashboard on the C/ partition, its looking for evoxdash.xbe (or similar) but can only find xboxdash.xbe (the standard MS dashboard) thats why you get a blank screen.
If you use your AID disc and under the hard mod section, install whatever dashboard you fancy to the C/ partition, that should solve things.
If you plan on installing a larger hard drive, just plug it in, launch AID - it will detect the new hard drive and format it for you, you can then proceed to install your dashboard of choice to the C/ partition and whatever apps/emus to the F/ partition.
you should just be able to unplug your DVD drive now ant the xbox will boot without any errors. _________________

Yes. I am now getting somewhere thanks to user1.
Ok. I followed your instructions as best I could and the box went into a loop (would keep reseting without getting past the xbox symbol screen).
It would boot my aid disc and I unmounted virtual c: (I probably should have done that the first time). I then installed the unleashed dashboard on c: and it worked. All seemed fine.
I then shut down and unplugged the DVD drive (data and power) and it started ok but with stutter on the intro screen and slower to boot. Seemed ok except for tray open statice then unknown after a while. I started XBMC and all good except it thinks a disc is loaded (by the bottem right icon) but all working ok. I then do a restart and it stalls on xbox symbol screen and dims a bit. I shut down manually and it restarts ok, except for the stutter and the open tray thing. I have tried this a couple of times with mixed results. Sometimes it would hang. When I plug the DVD drive back in, all is good.
Do you think I should try to flash again or could it be something else. Also is the 4981.06 bios ok for a 320gig HDD?
Yes, the 4981.06 bios will be fine with a 320gb hard drive, although its not ideal due to the size of the F partition, once data gets written above 250gb theres a chance of corruption, a fix for this would be to format the F partition using 32k clusters, use xbpartitioner to do this.
Now the stuttering, as you notice this only happens with the DVD removed unfortunately thats something you cant get round with the 4981 bios, ive used it on certain xboxes and its booted fine, yet on others there has been some noticable/unwanted effects, the best bios to use would be the x2 5035 but its 512kb - 1mb in size so wont fit on your TSOP, you could reflash with the iND-BiOS 5003 as this also boots without the DVD attached.
If you want to experiment a little more download the EurAsia pro generic flash disc and burn it to DVD-r, then get the iND-BiOS 5003 from the Bios folder in the flasher you have, rename it to `bios.bin` (thats just bios.bin without the quotes, nothing else, just bios.bin) and burn that to DVD-r also, launch the EurAsia disc and when the DVD tray opens install the bios.bin disc, the tray will automatically close ant then the flashing will commence.
You could also rename the iND-BiOS to bios.bin and replace the bios.bin file in the root of my flasher with it, that way when you click on the "Flash Winbond TSOP" option itll flash with the iND rather than the 4981 (its the bios.bin in the same location as eurasia.xbe - just to be certain). Now I havent tested this method but it should work, but if things go tits up dont hold me responsible, Ive given you a couple of options, the first one WILL work the second one SHOULD work. _________________

Ok user1. I will try the EurAsia pro generic flash disc with the iND-BiOS 5003 on a another disc.
I will report back the outcome when I do it. Thanks

Quick Question.
What is the procedure for putting the bios.bin on a disc? Do you copy on to it like a data disc? Is it OK to use a cdrw?
If your xbox will read cdrw then i dont suppose it`ll be a problem, never used them myself, i just stick with the DVD-Rs ..... And, yes, just stick it on there as data. _________________

Yes. All seems OK now.
No Stutter. No hanging so far.
"user1 rules"
OK. So is this bios good for large HDDs. (sorry for too many questions but I am cautious)
Hi, success .... Good stuff
Yes, the iND-BiOS was a .67 one, you should get an F partition upto 137gb and the space over 137gb will be your G partition - Approx 180gb so you should be safe with the 16k clusters.
The iND-BiOS is the one i prefer to use if im flashing a 256kb TSOP, theres a cool config app that lets you change the X logo colours and gives you different camera angles for the flubber animation ........ you can go as far as altering things so it boots up without showing any signs that its a xbox, make it boot up displaying the XBMC logo and stuff.
