About the project
Dxbx is a Xbox emulator for Windows XP, written in Delphi.
Dxbx began as a port of Cxbx, primarily because the project initiator Shadow_tj saw this as nice showcase application for Delphi.
We hope this project will attract some of the more experienced Delphi developers, whose contributions would eventually surpass the compatibility that cxbx offers (at that point we'll gratefully share back what we've learned of course).

Why a Delphi port?
At the time of writing only a few emulators are written in Delphi, while Delphi is capable of so much more. (That, and we're much more experienced in Delphi than C/C++ Wink )
A nice thing about Delphi (or rather Object Pascal) is the that the same code (with only slight adjustments) can be compiled with FPC - an open source Pascal compiler, which targets various platforms (Linux, Win32, WinCE, MacOS with quite a few processors supported).
Another thing is that Delphi has a few open-source libraries contributed that are of very high quality (the Jedi Code Library for example).
Using these points as unique strengths of Delphi, we think we can get quite far with Xbox emulation.

So if you are intrested in helping out with the project, send me a PM!
