I'm helping a buddy mod his over the net and I have a Halo2 disc, but he doesn't so hes trying to find a game that will update his dashboard before he soft mods. Is there any more games out there that do the same thing?
Hes trying to do it on the cheap without having to pickup Halo2 and maybe go with a cheaper game.

If the xbox has never been modded he should be able to pop in any live game with the net cable hooked up and update the dash that way.

Ok, I tried one game and of course I can't think of it, but it didn't work, but Halo2 worked like a champ.

Did he check his MS dash system info and make sure he needed to update?
