Hi,
Try upgrading your pdf viewer to the latest version of 'adobe acrobat reader'.. You will need the latest version to read it!
if you are still having problems opening it.. Contact 'djb' via pm (private message) and ask him to help you.. He wrote the autoinstaller and is here to help to!
The autoinstaller is very easy to use anyway.. Just select the 'option' you want to install from the xbox controller..
Basically download the XBOXHQ AI.
Then unzip/unrar the file so you get a .iso file
then burn this .iso file to DVD-R/CDRW using nero or dvddecryper etc etc.
then boot in your xbox with the modchip turned on!

Once you have the AI successfully burned to a disk that your xbox will read, I highly suggest using DVD-R's, but up to you what you try here is what you want to do:
Put the AI in and boot your machine with the hacked bios. You will be confronted with the AI menu.
First thing you want to do is format the HD. So, if you put in a larger HD other than the one it came with, you will select "Format Large HD".
After that, you will prepare the HD. Select "Prepare Large HD".. You have a few selections for preparing large HD. Depending on how many partitions you want and what bios you are running, you will either prepare large HD with E+F support, or E+F+G support.
Once that is done, it's now time to install your dashboards. Select, "Install Dashboards". Next, Select "Install MS Dashboard". If you have a version 1.4 or higher, you will need to take one more step, I'll talk about that later.
Next, install EvoX Build 3935 to C. Now, there are a couple selections for that. It depends on your HD size. If it's 120GB or larger then you will choose the selection that supports drives (E+F+G) support. I know this may contradict if you chose prepare with only (E+F) support, but it still works fine and is your only choice for larger HD's. If you don't have a G drive it won't make a difference.
Next you want to install your applications to F drive.
The next thing I do is lock the HD. You will find that in the "Format and Prepare" section. Just scroll down and lock it. I then will go into the "Other Applications" section and install DVD Region Free for MS Dash". The reason I do this last is because it requires you to reboot your machine when done.
Now, back to the MS Dash for 1.4 and higher. There are some files that need updated other wise, if you try to go to MS Dash with the modchip off you will get error 13. Go to the VIP download section, then go to Dashboards., then submenu MS Dashboards. You will see the ms dash that says for 1.4 and higher. Download and unzip. FTP those files to your C folder in your Xbox and when asked to overwrite, select yes to all.
Reboot your xbox and try your MS Dash with chip on. You will see the frag and error is gone. If you have a 1.0 to 1.3 you DO NOT have to so this step.
I hope that helped. If you need anything just let me know.

The autoinstaller will not work with softmodded xboxes. The reason behind this is the way the softmod works. It has several exploits that are installed onto the hard drive, and when you format the hard drive, you lose these files, the AI also doesn't replace them, so pretty mcuh after you install and prepare you will lose the mod, and then since you installed ms dashboard it should be back like a normal xbox, and you would have to redo the softmod process.
I am currently in the process of figuring out the easiest/best way to upgrade your hard drive to a larger one with softmods. We have a nice tutorial here on this site that seems like it will work, and I should soon have all the files uploaded to make it work. I just mainly want to test it out for myself first. That way I can give some support on the topic. _________________

hi sjohn,
couldnt we provide another option in our NEW AUTOINSTALLER to install these files are the format process??
DJB or I could add this very easy!
It would be a great addition to our AUTO INSTALLER TOO!
Do you think this would work sjohn?
let us know what you think... Id be very interested to hear what you say.
We can ofcourse create folders on the xbox hdd and copy files to anywhere but you will have to let us know what and where?

I think it is possible, but not sure how many people really would use it. In order to install a larger hard drive you have to be able to hook both the old and new hard drives up to a computer. Then you will have to clone the old over onto the new. At the beginning you have to worry with unlocking the drive, then when you are finished you gotta lock them back. After you get the large hard drive, then this autoinstaller with softmod support would be absolutely great.
That would be just another feature that xbox-hq would have that I haven't even thought about until the last few days while I've talked with djb about such a project I'm tryig to get my hands on as many different version xboxes that I can so that I can get the c and e drives and see what if anything is different between the 1.0 and the 1.5s. I know the 1.6 will need m8 bios, but that is't a problem.
Pretty sure it's possible, just getting access to the correct files and all. Not really too much of a problem there either though. So I say it's possible. _________________

Guys I just updated my hd disk with an utiliy made by the the same guy who brought us the Ltools. You only burn an iso with the backup files that ltools made (ftp will be fine) Burn the iso into a cd, and connect the new hd to the primary controller on your computer. It will automatically setup the hd with all the necessary partitions. It also locks and unlocks the hd. I uploaded it to the ftp: xbox-hq.com
port: 21
username: upload@xbox-hq.com
password: upload
Look for xboxhdm_v1.9.zip
Take a look at it. It is the easies way to upgrade the hd without a modchip.
It also works for repairing damaged partitions, as I damaged my softmod and was able to repair the whole C: wihout erasing the rest.

hi Velayo,
If the file is under 5mb you should be able to add the file directly to the VIP DOWNLOADS section by going into it and clicking on 'UPLOAD FILE'.
The just browse for the file and submit the form with as much information as you can fill out..
Also, if you feel you can help upload alot of smaller files i can setup a XBOXHQ WEBSERVER account just for you! Then you can organise your uploads and link to them from any of the DOWNLOADS sections.
anyway, let us know mate.. Shoot me a private message or a email and ill get onto it for you!
