I recently did a controle port mod to all my 4 ports i used the tutorial on this site.
100w resistors, solder and red led lights.
what im wondering is, why are everyone elses LED lights so much brighter then the ones i put in. it seems that mine cant even bee seen unless you look directly into the port itself.
if anyone has reasons or things i should try that would be nice.

You might have bought low mcd (milicandela ie, light output) LEDs. I've always found red to be a bit dim at comparable mcd anyway... Generally speaking, you want to go with at least 3000-4000+mcd for a case mod, and you might even consider going as high as 5000+mcd for your controller ports if you're using red or UV.
Edit: Just thought I'd add that some people like it even brighter. I tend to find super-bright controller ports distracting, but if you're into that sort of thing, you should go for 6000 or 7000+mcd LEDs.

if this is what you mean by the low output of the lights then yeah i got the wrong kind which would suck because it took me a long time to do these and i dont want to go it all over. also the package that i bought them in had no way of tell the difference anyway.

What I did is used my dremel to drill a hole in the linesnext to the solder points to insert me led into so it would have a place to sit and shine bright...
