My apologies for digging this one up, but better late than never!
The 2nd pic is of my 1st car ever, a 1986 Holden VL Commodore SL. It was a good 1st car, but as with any young fella, I was after more power!
(photo courtesy of Aust. Federal Police, when it was impounded. Not only that, but while in the impound yard for 3 months, 'someone' broke in and stole my stereo, speakers, and autometer tacho )
I still have the original car, but now also have a very tidy 1986 Holden VL Commodore Berlina Turbo (gotta love that boost ) (I know its not the best pic, but its the only one, from the previous owner.)
Don't ask what it is about that particular make of car, I just have a thing for them.......
Anyways, i'll get some more pics of the turbo up soon, once I finish some minor work to pass/transfer rego.
Cheers, roo _________________

That seems to happen a lot, same thing happened to me. Impound stereo gremlins? _________________

Well, I just bought a little present for myself (and the turbo). Its a 610x300x75mm front mount intercooler, to be precise. So, perhaps I should not have said 'little present'
To put the size into perspective, I have placed a 375mL can next to it, in the first photo.
More photos coming soon........ _________________

So Dual core or Triple Core??
I have Triple core..
Very nice.. I bet your turbo will love boost with that intercooler hooked up.. Especially over the next few months when its hot.. It will need it..
Mine does.. lol

Its only double core, but apparently flows huge amounts of air. I'm also looking into water injection, or a water spray for the cooler. I also wanna get one of those turbosmart dual stage boost controllers, just to vary the fun factor on the fly
Hmm, the cars progress is going slowy bit by bit, but at least its going, so thats the main thing.
I might start a separate thread later, once I get some more pics, work done etc.

I was looking into that too.. Mostly for really hot days but my car is great with the 3 core cooler.. .. I definately noticed the difference especially after running a much smaller 2 core on hot days..

Hey hobbs, long time no talk.
lol, I went for a ride in a mates GT2530 powered GTI-R the other day. All I can say is an SR20 on 19 psi is damn quick !!!
I'm gettin back on my feet slowly, so (hopefully) things should be sweet soon.
