Hi everyone,
a friend of mine is a moron, but lets talk about that later.
He and a friend of his tried to mod their Xbox with a X3 about a year ago or so.
they scrwed it up. So now I have it and I want to try and repair the thing, It used to go thru the Bios loading screen (Standard xbox movie at the beginning) and then either freeze or give me a error.
But last night I popped it all together and it does nothing.
It makes a High pitched beeping sound and the green light will kick on for 2 secconds and then go off, then kick on again and go off again.
The first time it did this it went for about 3 times and then just shut off, now it keeps doing it over and over again, each time with a beep and then shuts off again.
Also the screen doesnt flicker or anything. It just stays at the Blue no signal screen my VCR gives me.
Anyone have a clue what to do, its not a real big problem seeing as how i never paid for it, but it would be nice to get it working and give it to my kid sister, she wont let my kid bro play at all LOL.
Peace

Sound like either the there was some solder splatter on the board or a trace is fried. Could be the chip or the pin header as well. You'll have to open it and inspect any damage to the board. _________________
