Hi all,
I'm currently trying to backup RalliSport2 thats a 6.20Gb file. My xbox has a standard HDD that doesn't have enough room to burn the game to the drive so I've FTPed the DVD from the ROM over to my PC.
I have noticed a two layer arrangement - layer 0 and layer 1
Being a complete newb to dual layer will qwix convert the files so that I can just insert the dual layer dvd and burn, or is there more to it than that.
The price of dual layer have to date prevented me from using them as I've been able to remove language files and other unwanted stuff so it could fit on a single DVD.
My xbox will only supports DVD+R I guess +R dual layer is available.
Any help on backing up dual layer would be appreciated. _________________ xbox v1.2

make it to an iso and burn it with any iso burner , so put disc on xbox rom drive ftp files from there using qwix or anyting like this then burn it using an iso burner , but like you mentioned dl is exensive and burn speed is awefuly slow why not just upgrade your hard drive? alot of benefits such as loading times are haredly if not none prevanting your orignal being dmaged by not using them putting more size so you can put roms etc etc... and you dont need a chip to upgrade the hard drive in case you have a softmod _________________ |FTP|Useful Links| softmod vs hardmod questions
I've made a backup of the eeprom some time ago and taken a few steps to start the HDD upgrade but have not yet plucked up enough courage to pull the sons xbox to pieces. I'm hoping to pickup a cheap second hand console after xmas and try the upgrade. This site provides plenty of good advice and tutorials which should get me through the process without breaking out in a sweat.
Thanks again. _________________ xbox v1.2
