- Ever overwritten a vital config file which you shouldnt have (you know, the ones listed in the FAQ!) by running etc-update? Well, hopefully this will help. To get them back, provided you have a working network connection, you can run "magic uhoh". This may not work for everyone's Gentoox configuration, but its a start. It lists the files it will overwrite, then backs up the existing files with a '.uhoh' extension, just incase you didnt want to overwrite this particular file.
To be safe, it might be an idea to run this straight after running etc-update. Use at your own risk, and let me know how it works out for you!
