GTA IV “Virtually Complete” - Rockstar

GTA IV ,arguably 2008’s biggest game, is “virtually complete”, according to developer Rockstar.
In an extensive new GTA IV preview, in which CVG labels the the latest installment in the GTA series as possibly the “most epic sandbox yet”, not constrained “by the bloody impressive detail put upon the environment”, it is revealed that the game is extremely close to completion, suggesting that an official release date announcement is imminent.
""The game is in a very, very different place now," a Rockstar rep tells CVG. "It's improved in virtually every single way imaginable.
"When we first showed the game a year ago, we said it was really early - it was the earliest we've ever shown a GTA game. A year later and just three/four months away from release you're looking at a game that's virtually complete."
Although unconfirmed, it has been widely speculated that GTA IV will be released on April 25, the final day of Rockstar parent company Take-Two’s fiscal fourth quarter.
The preview goes on to add, “There's still a lot of polish going on behind the scenes and the painful process of licensing IV's typically massive list of tunes is in full swing. But what's in front of us right now is looking rock solid.
“Even with all the gorgeous building and cloud reflections in the water, and impressive real-time shadows skulking across the street, the framerate is bang on.”
