Microsoft lowered its European Xbox 360 prices.

Microsoft announced on Monday that it reduced the prices of its Xbox 360 video game consoles in the UK and across Europe. The cost of its Xbox 360 is coming down by 30 to an estimated £249.99, while the entry-level core console will drop by 20 to an estimated £179.99. The Xbox 360 reduction follows a similar price cut in the US earlier this month. The company has stated that the console "is uniquely placed to take the UK by storm this Christmas".
Microsoft is also introducing the Xbox 360 Elite which is aimed mainly at more experienced gamers. The price will be at an estimated £299.99.
While the Xbox 360 has had success with a healthy marketshare since its launch, the company is without headaches, including the £500m pricetag hit for repairs.
