' Master Chief Does Hollywood'

According to Variety, Microsoft has taken the first step in the process of bringing the Halo franchise to the big screen as they have inked a major deal with screenwriter Alex Garland to come up with a screenplay of their epic series for a possible feature film. Alex is most recently known for writing 28 Days Later and The Beach.

Apparently, Microsoft is taking a backseat to the development of the potential Halo based film and won't be a part of the process beyond the initial first step taken to secure a script.

Obviously, Halo is a massive property that is most deserving of a big screen flick if any video game ever was, having broken sales records worldwide. We will definitely keep our eyes peeled for any further info related to the Halo movie that could possibly be in the works.
