The U.S. Department of Justice seized an Xbox mod website, turning it into an anti-piracy trophy meant to serve as a warning to other pirates. The ISO News site was taken over by the DOJ as part of a plea bargain by the site's owner. The site claimed as many as 140,000 hits a day, but did not have any pirated games or software. Instead, it gave users tips about how to create mods and pirate games. The owner, David Rocci, 22, also imported 450 Enigmah Mod Chips from Britain and sold them for US$45 to $60 a pop. He faces up to 5 years in prison and a fine of $500,000. He will be sentenced on March 7. Reuters pointed out that although the site had been gutted and left filled with DOJ and anti-piracy content, at least one other mirror of the site was still up Wednesday morning. No word if that site has since been shut down.Source: Geek.com
