It's already common knowledge that the Black Eyed Peas are appearing in the upcoming Urbz: Sims in the City as simulated musicians and that they contributed nine song to the soundtrack that were rerecorded in Simlish, the gibberish Sim-speak. Now, to make the convergence of all media complete, EA has announced that a special version of the game will include an iTunes card that allows for downloads of brand new Black Eyed Peas tracks. If gamers get one of the first 700,000 copies of the game, they'll get the card and the tunes.

By using the card and going to iTunes, gamers will be able to download four songs, three of which are exclusive to this offer. This includes a brand new song in English, a new song in Simlish for the game, and two versions of "Let's Get it Started," one of which is in Simlish.

Folks behind the deal had some things to say about the offer as well. "Gaming and music are two of the hottest areas in digital entertainment today. What better way to feature them than to premiere new and exclusive music right in the box of one of the most anticipated video game releases of the fall," said Eddy Cue, Apple's vice president of Applications. "We are excited to be working with EA and A&M Records to bring exclusive downloads from the Black Eyed Peas directly to over half a million consumers via this unprecedented promotion."

This is a new deal for the industry and is showing that the connection between music and gaming is getting tighter than ever, especially over at EA. While finding one of the first 7000,000 copies of a game shouldn't be too difficult to pull off, it still provides some incentive for gamers to pick up the title this holiday season if they expect to get the bonus.
