Ninja Gaiden: Hurricane Pack Vol. 1 is finally here. After several weeks of waiting, Team Ninja has released the first downloadable content for its popular Master Ninja Tournament. The tournament, which began today, ends August 29.

The free Hurricane Pack download comes in at a surprisingly small 2047 blocks, considering how much it offers. With the new download you'll get a brand new camera system, an updated "action engine" for faster combat, a new weapon, two new costumes, a new Intercept Technique, new enemies, and better enemy AI.

It's a crazy amount of additions and the difficulty is through the roof. Easily the best download every offered on Xbox Live, it's yours for free. For free! To get this free content, you'll need a copy of Ninja Gaiden and an Xbox Live subscription. Select Master Ninja Tournament from the main menu and then go to Content Download. Once you've downloaded the Hurricane Pack Vol. 1, you'll need to select Master Ninja Tournament again to begin play. If you want either of Ryu's new costumes, hold either the White Button (for DOA costume) or the Black Button (for Spider-Demon costume) when first selecting to start your game.

You do not have to participate in the tourney, but if you're gonna play, you might as well post your score for a chance at a trip to the finals in Japan this fall.
